Dr. Carlos Rodriguez is a retired US Navy Captain, with 24 years of active service and multiple combat surgery deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. In working with our Wounded Warriors, he developed a passion for repairing complex abdominal wall hernias. He found that re-aligning the core's musculature to normal anatomic position restored core strength, improved balance, and, even allowed some service members to return to full duty. Dr. Rodriguez moved to Fort Worth in 2018, and began employment with Texas Health Fort Worth in March of 2022 to develop the Emergency General Surgery program. After a successful verification in 2024, he is now the Emergency General Surgery Medical Director. Dr. Rodriguez continues to provide trauma, general surgery, and abdominal wall reconstructive services.
