Grigory Charny

Lieutenant Colonel Grigory Charny is an active duty emergency medicine physician. He has served and has over 25 years of experience in the infantry and military medicine. He completed multiple deployments to Afghanistan, Syria, Africa, Iraq, and Kosovo leading teams in delivering frontline trauma and medicine care in high-intensity environments. Serving as a full time professor in the Military and Emergency Medicine at the Uniformed Services University, Grigory developed the Department of Defense’s first Prolonged Casualty Care Course. Grig led a joint team international efforts to establish the Tactical Combat Casualty Care Program for the Uganda People's Defense Force. Lieutenant Colonel Charny holds a Medical Doctorate from Uniformed Services University, Master of Science from Georgetown University. He currently serves as a Chief Medical Officer at Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital, supporting strategic initiatives that enhance care delivery and operational excellence. Grigory boarded in Emergency Medicine and is a fellow of the American Association of Emergency Medicine.
