Dr. Chivas Guillote is a Paramedic and Nurse Practitioner from Houston, Texas. He completed his Baccalaureate and Master's degrees in Nursing at The University of Texas at Houston, and his Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership from Johns Hopkins University. He is board-certified in Emergency, Acute Care, & Family Practice. Chivas works clinically in EMS and also as a staff NP in the Emergency Department of a rural critical access hospital in East Texas. He holds a casual faculty appointment at the UT Houston School of Nursing in the Emergency NP program. As VP of Clinical Services at Harris County Emergency Corps, He manages the practice of 150 clinicians. Chivas has 30 years of healthcare experience in a variety of roles including Emergency Medicine, 911 response, helicopter and fixed-wing transport, critical care nursing, special events medicine, and executive leadership. His clinical interests include: procedure safety, resuscitation, airway management, pre-hospital ultrasound, and critical care transport.
