Lori Cerami

Swim4Elise Foundation

Water Safety Advocate

Lori Cerami is the founder of the Swim4Elise Foundation, a nonprofit that raises awareness of water safety through community outreach education and competitive swimming scholarships. The foundation was developed after Lori's 13 year old daughter, Elise Cerami fatally drowned during her club swim practice on June 20, 2016. Since then, Lori has been on a mission to share Elise's story, targeting the question, how does an experienced swimmer drown and how can it be prevented? Her conviction encourages both swimmers and aquatic professionals to elevate their safety training. Lori holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas and has worked as the Chief Operating Officer of a midsize medical group for over 17 years. She has been a American Red Cross Lifeguard since 2017.
